What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking an experienced Inspection & Integration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting sensitive optical components and fibers with small tolerances. The successful candidate must exhibit a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment. Proficiency in using specialized tools and instruments for optical assembly is essential.
What You Will Be Doing
- Test and troubleshoot optical systems to detect and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct visual inspections of components and assembled systems to ensure they meet stringent quality standards.
- Assemble and glue optical components and fibers with high precision according to engineering drawings and
- pecifications.

We are looking for a creative mechanics team leader to join our engineering team and lead the mechanics activity of our silicon photonics fiber-to-chip connectivity solution. You will be a key player of a growing team for the development and productization of our innovative PhotonicPlug platform for scalable silicon photonics packaging. Our engineering team is multi-disciplinary and integrates knowledge from various fields: photonics, electro and mechano-optics, mechanics, semiconductor, thermodynamics and materials. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative technology with an exceptional group of talented people in Jerusalem. Qualifications
- B.Sc or M.Sc in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of experience.
- In-depth understanding in the mechanics of electro-optics packaging and fiber assembly products.
- Significant experience in mechanical precision technologies, opto-mechanical design and manufacturing, thermal management, test and assembly, materials and adhesives.
- Experienced with semiconductor and electronics packaging technologies.
- Proven experience work with suppliers for prototyping and high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience in CAD and Solidworks.
- Experience in FEA software (e.g. Ansys) for thermal design, simulations and analysis.
