Job Description

We’re looking for a Vice President (VP) of Product who will play a pivotal role in the future of our company. Our VP of Product will be responsible for the technical vision and development of our product. You’ll be managing other engineers and developers, collaborating with the marketing and support teams, toward achieving strategic initiatives as well as providing the overall vision for the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Deep technical understanding and Ability to define specs for MRD/PRD
  • Product lifecycle management from concept to product(s) launch
  • A strong collaborator with the R&D division to ensure the execution of the product road map
  • Lead, define, represent and communicate product strategy to all stakeholders.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and metrics.
  • Monitor product development sprints and evaluate results.
  • Lead Product Marketing Managers to assess product mix and marketing strategy.
  • Define pricing and competitive positioning for each product.
  • Become a champion of the product and participate in press activities, conferences, discussions with thought leaders and market analysts.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or an advanced degree in physics/Optics/electrical engineering with deep understanding in the world of ASIC/data centers/datacom
  • 5+ years of experience as a product leader
  • Strategic & creative thinker with the ability to craft go-to-market strategies and campaigns in collaboration with marketing
  • Hands-on approach, self-starter
  • Able to create a product roadmaps for key customers and partners
  • Able to create and execute a PLM
  • Extensive know-how in market analysis
  • Able to formulate and implement global strategies for products

VP R&D

Job Description 

We are looking for an enthusiastic R&D Manager who will join its product development team. In this role you will lead the R&D activity of its fiber to chip packaging technology which is called PhotonicPlug technology. You will oversee Teramount’s R&D divisions including optical design, fabrication processes (including CMOS and wafer level processes), mechanics, optical characterization, qual and reliability processes of its PhotonicPlug products. You will take part in the company’s productization activity and help move processes from R&D to product. In this role you will engage with design partners, suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create, manage and execute work plans
  • Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study potential of new products
  • Oversee all aspects of research program and experiments
  • Report to senior management on company product technical issues as well as technical developments within the market
  • Manage qual and reliability testing programs for products/services through the management of staff and prioritize assignment of staff and utilization of resources
  • Manage a team of research staff including the lab team, the optical design team, the product mechanical engineering team and the qual and reliability team
  • Asist with budgeting and cost forecasting of technical development or research programs.

Qualifications

  • MA in Physics with knowledge in materials science and engineering. Knowledge in optics or a PhD in Physics, an advantage.

Product Manager

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who will be responsible for our PhotonicPlug New Product Introduction (NPI) to customers. You will work hand-in-hand with Teramount’s R&D and engineering teams to introduce and drive our innovative fiber-to-chip packaging solution to semiconductor datacom and telecom customers. You will be responsible for preparing material including product specs, presentations, RFI’s and other technical and business material. You will work directly with customers to analyze their needs, map current market trends, conduct market researches, competitor analysis and differentiation, planning and roadmap development. Qualifications

Mechanics Team Leader

We are looking for a creative mechanics team leader to join our engineering team and lead the mechanics activity of our silicon photonics fiber-to-chip connectivity solution. You will be a key player of a growing team for the development and productization of our innovative PhotonicPlug platform for scalable silicon photonics packaging. Our engineering team is multi-disciplinary and integrates knowledge from various fields: photonics, electro and mechano-optics, mechanics, semiconductor, thermodynamics and materials. Qualifications

  1. B.Sc or M.Sc in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of experience.

  3. Significant experience in mechanical precision technologies, opto-mechanical design and manufacturing, thermal management, test and assembly, materials and adhesives.
  4. Experienced with semiconductor and electronics packaging technologies.
  5. Proven experience work with suppliers for prototyping and high volume manufacturing.
  6. Experience in CAD and Solidworks.
  7. Experience in FEA software (e.g. Ansys) for thermal design, simulations and analysis.

Electro Optics Engineer

Job Description

 Job Description and Responsibilities:
We’re looking for an electro-optics engineer who will play a pivotal role in the optical design team. As an electro optic engineer, you will be responsible on the optical design of Teramount’s photonic solutions, defining fabrication tolerances and overseeing optical R&D activities.

Your job includes, but not is limited to, the following tasks:

  1. Optical design of Termount’s Photonic plug- Free space optics.
  2. Optical design of Photonic Integrated Circuits; this includes design and simulations of waveguides
  3. Data analysis of fabricated optics. It will be your responsibility to point out fabrication challenges and verify that outputs meet the defined requirements.
  4. Yield prediction and defining optical and mechanical tolerances.
  5. Plan, supervise and extract conclusion from R&D lab experiments. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the lab measurements are properly performed, flag problems and suggest solutions.
  6. Interact with different departments and defining targets of the optical R@D process.
  7. Interact with vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

  1. A Master’s degree in Physics: Electro-optics / Applied Physics – a must.
  2. Deep understanding of lenses and optical systems in terms of geometric optics and physical optics- a must.
  3. A self- starter: ability to perform physical optical simulations with self-built tools and acquire new skills independently -a must.
  4. Scripting and simulation capabilities in Python or MATLAB- a must. You will be required to acquire a command of Python.
  5. High analytical and troubleshooting capabilities- a must.
  6. Experience with optical simulations- a must. Experience with Zemax and/or Lumerical software- an advantage.
  7. High mathematical skills- a must. Image processing skills- an advantage.
  8. Lab experience- an advantage.
  9. Teamwork abilities- a must
  10. English proficiency- a must
